After many successful years a the Plough & Chequers PH, Gillingham the club moved to a new venue in 2009 at the Star Meadow Sports Club, Darland Avenue, Gillingham, Kent sharing the venue with the Star Meadow Pétanque Club (formerly Lloyds Sports & Social Pétanque Club).

 

During 2009

We built the foundations of another successful club which we hope will once again be regarded as the best club in Kent and in England.

The club hosted two successful open competitions culminating in the popular Christmas Hamper Doubles.

Our two teams in the Kent League took all the major honours winning the Division 1 and 2 titles as well as both the Cup and Plate competitions.

The Kent squad that won the Inter Regional Championships was heavily reliant on Meadow PC players and managers.

Members Corinne & Mark Cooter were both awarded honorary Life Membership of both the English Pétanque Association and the Kent Pétanque Association for their services to the sport over many years.

The club saw out 2009 at the top of their division in the Kent Winter League and through to the fourth round of the European Cup.
